Human Paladin – Turntabilism – Shadowmoon – Day 1

I started my Human Paladin today. I rolled Alliance because I plan on faction changing my toons over 1 by 1 back. I’ve never really played with a Paladin beyond level 10 so I figured I would try one out and see where it goes.

I am running with BoA Head, Shoulders, Chest, Back, 1H or 2H weapon, depending on spec. I started out with my dps gear, but switched over to my tanking set once I was able to enter into a random instance. I’ve never queued as a tank so that was an interesting experience. I was excited to get instant queues all the time, instead of once in a while when hell freezes over and dps gets in instantly.

I’ve joined a level 25 guild, so I have 35% extra experience increase while wearing all of my gear.

Hopefully this weekend is a battleground I can participate in, however I know the real XP comes from AV or EoTS.

During my first day I have accumulated 23 levels, 13 pets, 4 mounts, and 110 achievement points.

I have the next 2 weeks off on vacation so this toon should make it to level 85 in no time.

Quick Review: Warcraft Faction Change – From Alliance to Horde

Recently Blizzard had announced the ability to change factions. So if you’re Alliance and you want to be Horde or Horde wanting to be Alliance, for $30.00 USD you can now change. The process is easy, sign into you’re battle.net account and there is a link to do a Faction Change right on the main page of your profile. Right now you can only pay by credit card, but it looks like you will be able to buy some kind of redemption code to complete the faction change. Currently paypal, and the other options are un-available. If you don’t have a credit card, you can always go and get a pre-paid one.

Blizzard says the process should take up to an hour, but makes mention of instances where it may take a couple of days. Personally, my account was active rather quickly. Thing’s to note before you make the change, you have to finish all of your auctions, and your mailbox has to be empty. Anything you have done with the Argent Tournament will be lost, unless you decide to change back, then you are back where you started. I don’t find this to be a problem, each daily is worth around 13g and there are 25 days worth of dailies I believe.

You do get to keep your Argent Tournament pets, they aren’t converted. The mount’s are converted but the pets are not. You also lose your Argent Tournament titles. Something you may want to do before going through with the faction change is completing as many raids as possible, and then doing the change. Raid lockouts (as of right now) are being reset.

Overall the process was simple, and I am very pleased to now be Horde. The $30.00 was a little steep and it only covers one toon, however I think the change was worth it.

Before you do your faction change you may want to read to see exactly what is going to happen to your toon.

*edit* Incase you were wondering, yes, raid lockouts do reset when you faction change.

How to become Exalted with Sporeggar

Becoming exalted with Sporeggar isn’t all that hard, or time consuming. Alot of the questing can be done as a group to speed the whole process up because the majority of the quests are based on killing mobs, rather than turning in a certain amount of loot.

There are a couple reasons you would want to be working towards exalted with Sporeggar:

1. You may want one of the pieces of gear (weapon or armor) that faction provides.
2. You may want the cool [Tiny Sporebat] pet for your pet achievement.
3. You may want the [Sporeggar Tabard] for your tabard achievement.
4. You are trying to become exalted with whoever you can :)

You start out with an Unfriendly reputation with Sporeggar but thats not a problem, you have 2 quests to help you get from Unfriendly to Neutral.

[63] The Sporelings’ Plight
[64] Natural Enemies

These quests have to be completed 4 times in total to get the a Neutral rating. You can complete these quests all the way up to Friendly however while you are doing these you should be collecting [Glowcap] for the quest [64] Glowcap Mushrooms. This is another repeatable quest and only has to be completed 4 times, meaning you will need to collect 40 mushrooms to get to Friendly once you have become Neutral.

Once you are friendly there are 2 ways you can go about this, if you run through The Underbog you can collect [Sanguine Hibiscus] and turn in 5 for the quest [65] Bring Me A Shrubbery!. This quest gives you 750 rep per turn-in so you can realistically do this quest 52 times (260 [Sanguine Hibiscus]) to become exalted. You can also buy these on the auction house because they are not Bind on Pickup

Or you can complete the quest [64] Now That We’re Friends… 52 times, which involves flying across the little lake (or walking around it) and killing 6x Bloodscale Enchantress and 12x Bloodscale Slavedriver.

This is the quickest way I have found to become exalted with Sporeggar, it only requires a couple hours of work, or some gold if you are purchasing items from the auction house. I hope this article was informative.

Until next time, keep fit and have fun!
